It is located in the middle area of the valley of Tegueste, also covering a large part of the surface of the Anaga massif belonging to the municipality of Tegueste, including natural sites such as the ravine of La Goleta, the Mesa de Tejina or the mountain of La Orilla. Tegueste Centro is located at an average altitude of 550 meters above sea level, and a large part of its surface is included in the protected natural area of the rural park of Anaga.[2] The area also includes elements of the heritage of the town.
Also of note here are elements of the municipality’s heritage, such as the Camino de Los Laureles, the main communication route to La Laguna until the nineteenth century,[3] the parish church itself, built in 1701, and the Calvary and Fountain of La Placeta, built in the mid-nineteenth century.[4] In the center of Tegueste, the town celebrates the celebration of the “Laurels”, the main road to La Laguna.
In Tegueste Centro the main festivities of the municipality are celebrated, dedicated to San Marcos Evangelista and the Virgen de los Remedios. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. The Absenteeism program is the result of collaboration between the Community of Madrid and the City Council of Alcorcón, being absenteeism a problem faced directly by schools and is of concern to the entire educational community.
This program aims to establish and energize the process through which globalized and inter-institutional responses to this problem are provided, which must inevitably be associated with the exercise of the right to education and the principle of equal opportunities, ensuring the continuity and regularization of compulsory education through three ways: prevention, detection and intervention.
