Para un alumno de esta edad, las habilidades y conocimientos más valiosos no se componen de hechos aislados y ejercicios repetitivos, sino que provienen de la capacidad del niño para dar sentido al trabajo integrándolo con sus conocimientos y experiencias anteriores.

We have joined the global movement in which demonstrations have been organized in different cities. We wanted to draw attention to this problem, global warming, which is already affecting many aspects of our lives, and in the classrooms we have made posters, talked about the issue, watched videos … to raise awareness of the issue. El Colegio Italo venezolano “Juan XXIII” fue creado a principios de los años 60 para satisfacer las necesidades educativas y católicas de la comunidad italiana de Maracay. Los cursos iniciales de la Scuola Giovanni ventitre (como se llamaba) eran en lengua italiana con algunas clases de español, pero al cabo de unos años todos los cursos eran bilingües en español e italiano.
A finales de los 90 se añadieron los primeros cursos de “Bachillerato”, que se hacían principalmente en español pero con algunas lecciones de italiano. En la actualidad, el Colegio Juan XXIII tiene casi 700 alumnos y todos los cursos se imparten en español. El italiano se hace como lengua extranjera obligatoria en el bachillerato (“Bachillerato venezolano”).
Los colegios alemanes con un asterisco no están reconocidos por la ZfA alemana (Oficina Central de Colegios) – Maracaibo tuvo anteriormente un colegio reconocido por el gobierno de Alemania Occidental (véase p. 29 de este documento)Los colegios italianos con dos asteriscos no están reconocidos por el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores italiano
