The importance of basic knowledge in emergencies and first aid is based on the preventive health criterion in a society in continuous evolution. The knowledge of first aid and the correct praxis to carry them out have proven to be effective and efficient in any problem that may involve risk to life or at least prevent the problem from worsening.
The programs for the promotion of Healthy Lifestyle habits in the educational environment are organized by the Ministries of Education, Health, Equality and Social Policies and Agriculture, Fishing and Rural Development. They include two main lines of intervention: ‘Creciendo en Salud’ (Growing up in Health) for schoolchildren in the second cycle of Infant and Primary Education and ‘Forma Joven en el ámbito educativo’ (Youth Form in the educational environment), for Secondary Education students.
From these results, different types of studies are derived from which “we can extract very valid information with respect to the evaluation of these types of plans and their improvement,” says Dr. Montoya.
