In the third millennium AD the first stable settlements appear in the different villages of the area, mainly dedicated to agriculture and cattle raising. These settlements have continuity in social domination.
Francisco Ramírez de Madrid was appointed governor of the castle by the Catholic Monarchs in payment for the conquest of the place. The castle maintained its military importance until the XVIII century, so important reform works were carried out.
In the annexes of Lobres, La Caleta and La Guardia are also significant the celebrations in honor of their respective patrons or patrons. In the case of Lobres it is worth mentioning the festivities in honor of San Antonio, celebrated on June 13th, while La Caleta and La Guardia share the festivities in honor of the Virgin of Carmen, celebrated on June 16th.
