Innovation for School: CEIP Isbilya Sevilla
The City Council of Seville, through the coordination of the Delegation of Citizen Participation, Coordination of Districts and Digital Modernization and the North District, has completed the works of the new coating of the facade of the School of Early Childhood and Primary Education (CEIP) Theodosio.
With the “new skin” of these buildings, climate comfort and energy efficiency is improved while “unifying the aesthetics” of the whole with a similar finish in each of its modules, the Consistory has detailed in a press release this Sunday.
This commitment to sustainability is completed with the modernization and improvement of energy efficiency through the change of the lighting system for a new set of LEDs. The purpose of these three actions is to achieve greater indoor thermal comfort and a reduction in the costs of heating, air conditioning and lighting of the premises of the center.
The application of this “new skin” to the different buildings that make up the complex also means aesthetic homogenization, improvement of the state of conservation, energy certification and the quality of the facilities. The initiatives related to sustainability are completed with the planting of 28 jacaranda trees in the courtyards.
CEIP Virgen del Monte de Cazalla de la Sierra (Seville) I
The International School of Seville – San Francisco de Paula is a private, secular and ideologically independent educational center in Seville, which has educated more than four generations (more than 17,000 students) in the principles of respect and work. The school’s students have a pass rate of over 90% in the Cambridge diplomas (Movers, Flyers, PET, First, Advanced, Proficiency), reaching 100% in the first three.
CEIP Beatriz Galindo (Bollullos de la Mitación-Sevilla) I
The company Contratas Gutiérrez will carry out the works of the CEIP Carmen Benítez, in the Nervión District, with the aim of improving safety, habitability and energy efficiency. The program includes the refurbishment of the main door and the renovation of the rest of the elements of the building, which dates back to 1896 and is considered the second oldest in the capital. This plan is based on the objectives of optimizing the comfort of students and teachers, with an initial investment of 133,748 euros.
On the other hand, a children’s leisure area will be built at CEIP Tierno Galván. In the same center, the pavement of the multi-sports court will be renewed, with the marking of a handball, futbito and basketball court. The replacement of the access to a new pedestrian door with intercom and telematic opening, new access to the parking lot and the paving of the same make up the project for the CEIP Isbilya. And in the Lope de Rueda school, a space will be created in the playground for environmental activities. Apasol Ibérica, S.L. has been awarded the contract for these three schools in the East-Alcosa-Torreblanca District, with a tender budget of 67,846.09 euros.
